Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Rebecca (Becky) Dale is a Clinical Psychologist and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with extensive experience working across the lifespan in both NHS and private settings.

Her clinical interests include adult mental health, eating disorders, adjustment to long-term physical health conditions, insomnia, and adult ADHD. She has particular expertise in supporting athletes with both their mental and physical wellbeing, including difficulties related to disordered eating, body image, and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S).

Becky is committed to developing a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship. She believes that building a shared understanding of difficulties enables clients to feel empowered, work towards meaningful change, and enhance their overall wellbeing.

Alongside her clinical work, she’s a keen runner and loves the headspace it gives her. Becky can often be found baking something sweet, pottering in the garden, or spending time with her family. She believes that balance, connection and small, consistent steps forward can make a real difference – both in therapy and in everyday life.

Becky’s experience working as a Clinical Psychologist at ChangeUp Psychology has aligned closely to how she believes real change happens. In therapy, she values creating a space where change feels manageable, collaborative, and sustainable, whether that’s gently reframing a long-held belief or supporting someone to try something new in a different way. Being part of a team that prioritises careful, realistic, and lasting growth allows her to support clients in making changes that endure.

Drawing on her training in Clinical Psychology, Becky works in an integrative and flexible way, tailoring therapy to each individual. The therapeutic approaches she commonly uses include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

Becky completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

She is an Associate Fellow and Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a registered clinical supervisor. Becky particularly enjoys supporting the professional development of psychologists and therapists through supervision.

Becky has completed specialist training in:

  • Evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including NICE-recommended approaches such as CBT-E and the Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA).
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Insomnia (ACT-I).
  • Post-diagnostic psychological support for adults with ADHD (CBT-based interventions).
