SLEEP

Are You Sleeping?

“Lack of sleep was causing me a great deal of distress, however, after the first consultation with Dr Chris, I felt calmer and reassured that he would be able to offer me the support and help that I needed.”

The Importance Of

Good Sleep

Sleep keeps us physically healthy, helps us perform better and has a huge impact on our wellbeing. Poor sleep has been shown to be linked to a huge range of physical, emotional and cognitive issues including:

  • cardiovascular disease
  • diabetes
  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • fatigue
  • anxiety
  • tension
  • irritability
  • low mood
  • feeling desperate/being ‘at wit’s end’
  • memory problems
  • poor concentration

In short, getting a decent night’s sleep is really important. And the good news is that there are proven effective treatments available, so we believe no one should have to put up with sleepless nights.

Sleep Clinic

Insomnia Assessment and Treatment (CBT-I)

We provide a comprehensive Insomnia Assessment and Treatment pathway, delivered online across the UK. Insomnia is common, affecting around 1 in 3 people each year, with approximately 1 in 5 meeting clinical criteria for chronic insomnia. Sleep difficulties can impact mood, concentration, physical health, and overall quality of life – but effective, evidence-based treatment is available. Our Sleep and Insomnia Clinic offers a structured, three-stage approach:

1. Sleep Screening

We begin with targeted screening to identify patterns of insomnia and to assess for other common sleep disorders that may require different support (such as sleep apnoea or circadian rhythm difficulties).

2. Comprehensive Sleep Assessment

This includes a detailed clinical interview and structured review of your sleep history, lifestyle factors, and maintaining patterns.
We also analyse sleep diary data to build a personalised understanding of what is contributing to your sleep difficulties.
You will receive clear feedback and a tailored treatment plan based on this assessment.

3. Evidence-Based Insomnia Treatment (CBTi)

Treatment for insomnia is delivered using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) – the gold standard psychological treatment for insomnia, recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
CBTi is a structured, time-limited approach that addresses the behavioural and cognitive patterns that maintain insomnia. Research consistently shows it to be highly effective for both short-term and chronic insomnia.

By offering screening, comprehensive assessment, and specialist CBTi treatment within one integrated service, we ensure clarity, continuity, and meaningful improvement — not just temporary sleep advice, but sustainable change.

All elements of the Sleep Clinic are delivered online via secure video consultation and digital sleep monitoring tools.

What Our Clients Say

Specialist Support For

Other Sleep Problems

Sleep difficulties are not limited to insomnia. As part of our Sleep Clinic, we also assess and provide psychological support for a range of other sleep-related conditions.

  • Shift work sleep problems – supporting adjustment to irregular schedules and reducing fatigue.
  • CPAP-related difficulties – CPAP is the leading treatment for sleep apnoea, but anxiety, discomfort, or adjustment difficulties are common. We provide targeted psychological support to help you feel more confident using your device and improve adherence.
  • Narcolepsy and hypersomnias – using CBT-N (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Narcolepsy), we support individuals in managing symptoms, fatigue, and the psychological impact of long-term sleep conditions.
  • Parasomnias – including night terrors, sleepwalking, and sleep-related eating disorder.
  • Paradoxical insomnia – where perceived sleep difficulties differ significantly from objective sleep patterns.
  • Circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders – helping people adjust to living with delayed sleep phase or irregular and unusual sleep patterns.

Where appropriate, we work collaboratively alongside medical professionals to ensure integrated, evidence-based care.
